It is better not to do evil.

It is better not to do evil.

[Pali]

Xa-ka-tạng thuk-ka-t̩ạng s̄ị-yo

[Translation]

“It is better not to do evil.”

Evil is what causes suffering and harm. It will ruin the personal and public good.

Evil is like filth. Because when people have done evil It will contaminate them. That filth has already contaminated us. We can still rinse thoroughly. But the evil that we have done Will tarnish us for a long time We only have to pay back all its results. It will disappear.

When you know this Consider that Evil will wreak havoc on you. There is no benefit at all. And don’t do it all your life.
